Emily A. was a great DJ who helped us think through reception logistics that we would not otherwise have. Emily's emcee-ing was a huge reason our reception ran smooth and we were able to enjoy the party. Emily was the DJ for our October wedding, and she totally rocked it. When we met with her a few times before the big day, she really helped us nail down songs for the ceremony, and ones that were unique to boot. I had heard about Toast & Jam from one of my coworkers who hired them for her wedding. She raved about them, so I thought we needed to follow suit. We were set up with Karin Fjellman and from the moment we met her, we knew she was going to be awesome. We were concerned, leading up to our wedding day, about whether our guests would get out on the dance floor, given that we were having a luncheon wedding in the middle of a bright, sunny day. We had nothing to worry about! Karin provided us with exactly the vibe we were going for, and the dance floor was packed all day long. DJ Tabitha and Toast & Jam MADE our wedding. Tabitha had everyone dancing, singing, and laughing. She got my 87 year old grandmother dancing to Michael Jackson and got the guys on the floor to Bel Biv Devoe...hilarious. DJ Tabitha really listened to us and thoughtfully choose music that complimented both our tastes and the overall vibe we were trying to have at the wedding. My wedding day was perfect and the night capped it off. Part of the perfect evening was DJ Karin. From the cocktail hour to the last song, she kept the music playing and everyone on the dance floor. The absolute highlight of our wedding reception was seeing the dance floor packed the second it was time to dance until the last song was played. We LOVED Toast & Jam. Erica Schwanke did such a fabulous job. Working with her was so easy. We didn't give her too much direction and she played music that everyone loved. People of all ages were dancing all night. So many of our guests made a point to tell us how great our dj was during the night. That made us feel so happy knowing everyone was enjoying the music so much and that guests went out of their way to compliment the Erica. So many people who don't dance a lot (including me!) were on the dance floor for hours. At the end of the night we had people shouting for one more song. Erica also did such a great job of managing the timeline for the evening. She was so well organized and on top of all the details. She mic-ed our ceremony, helped set up our slideshow for audio, did perfect introductions for the reception and followed the speech order and other events flawlessly. It's such a comforting feeling as a bride to know going into the evening that every small detail is covered,

Yeah Toast and Jam! Not only was the music at our wedding fantastic but DJ Karin was our favorite (best and easiest) vendor to work with. Multiple guests complimented us on the music and our DJ. We provided some insight on our musical preference and Karin was able to take that and run with it, playing the right type of music, at the right time throughout the reception. Looking back we think our wedding had a kick ass soundtrack -- thanks to Toast and Jam and DJ Karin for making it happen.

We wanted our wedding to mimic who we are: unique, jovial and FUN! Hiring Dena was the best way of ensuring that!!! It's so cool to hear people praising your wedding, months after it's over (at other peoples' weddings no less). It's kind of odd...in the most awesome way. In the rave reviews we continue to receive, Dena is always the key. She knew what to play and when. She appealled to young kids and really old kids too. The dancefloor was always packed. From the moment I met the ladies of Toast & Jam I knew that I had one less to worry about on my wedding day. Dena was helpful, knowledgeable and professional from day one. But don't let their professionalism fool you because those girls know how to throw a party.

Finding the right DJ was the most important "To Do" on our Wedding Checklist. Thanks to Toast & Jam, more specifically Erica Schwanke, our wedding reception was AMAZING! Toast and Jam Rocks. We had DJ Emily and she was a total pleasure to work with. I could not believe how many of our friends and family stayed until the very end of the reception and the dance floor was packed. Emily met with us and had phone conversations with us multiple times to make sure that she understood the style of music we wanted for cocktail hour, dinner and reception. And she hit the nail right on the head. She did not play one song that I didn't like, and I can't think of any songs that I would rather have had played. And besides the music, it was the pacing and the tone you helped us set that really added up to a fantastic night. We, Kurt and Bekki Lewis, had the best wedding ever. And what put our reception over the edge and into the realm of pure awesomeness was employing Toast & Jam as our Official Reception Music Provider.

We met with the fabulous Dena before the big event to discuss our likes and dislikes, what we wanted to hear and what wasn't allowed over the speakers and what we got was an evening of great tunes complete with a hopping dance floor. Many of our friends and family commented to us that they not only enjoyed her music selection but loved that she was having just as much fun from behind the booth as we were having on the floor.

When planning our wedding, it was important to us to use LGBT friendly vendors that didn’t just tolerate us for the money, but were enthusiastic about participating in our “big day.” Toast & Jam was the absolute best choice. Our pre-reception meetings were efficient and detailed. Our diverse likes were honored, and as promised, we didn’t hear a single “stale” song. People danced….and danced…and danced. From ages 3 – 83, our family and our friends danced, and so did we. Pictures from the end of the night say it all – jackets off, shoes off, sweaty faces, everyone on the dance floor. Guests repeatedly tell us how much FUN they had, and we know Kate and Rachel played a huge part in its success.

You rocked our reception. Music is an important part of my environment all the time but for my wedding day it had to really be right for everyone, not just me. It was such a good time and you were 'right on' with the music.

Toast and Jam was fabulous! During our reception, guest after guest approached me about our “exceptional dj…and she's a chick”, as my one music-loving cousin put it! However, I think that the real test of a great DJ isn’t just the “dancability” of the songs played from 9pm – 12am (while crucial, indeed, it’s not everything), but rather the “listenability” of the music played from 6pm – 9pm (during cocktails and dinner). I mean, really, a little Frank Sinatra goes a long way if you ask me. Our DJ passed with FLYING COLORS! In fact, the music played for those three hours was arguably the best chilled-out, laid-back playlist I’ve ever heard, like ever!

THANK YOU for helping us throw such a great party! I loved every minute of it! The ceremony music was beautifully done, and the reception was a complete and total blast. Everyone keeps sending me notes and e-mails about how great the music was, asking which DJ company I used, etc. We could not have been more pleased! Everyone had a blast, I think the music and the cocktails were the biggest hit! Nothing but wonderful things to say... Oh! My mom told me that someone came up to her (her family member) and said can we request the "electric slide"? My mom said no, it is not that type of wedding! ha! The music was exactly what we wanted from start to finish, Kate and Rachel followed our requests perfectly, and they did a great job with improvising their own music and reading the room. We even had crashers from another reception join us on the dance floor, who told us "I wish they had these DJs next door." Even the manager of the reception hall commented on our music being so much better than the usual, and he deals with hundreds of receptions each year. I am SO GLAD that we hired Toast & Jam, and having nothing but praise for the impeccable service and music throughout our entire planning process and reception.
