Bryan and I loved your work at our wedding! I felt like we didn't give you that much guidance as far as what to play but all the songs that you played were awesome. I felt that all speeches and announcements were very smooth and professional. We also loved how you were able to get the whole crowd moving to the dance floor after dinner. Everyone was out dancing! And then later on in the evening after the early crowd left, the party completely got a second wind as the dance floor turned into an awesome dance party. There was soo much energy and everyone was chanting for another song when the night was over. That's exactly how every bride wants her wedding to end and I felt that it probably wouldn't have happened without you! Thanks!

Toast and Jam Rocks. We had DJ Emily and she was a total pleasure to work with. I could not believe how many of our friends and family stayed until the very end of the reception and the dance floor was packed. Emily met with us and had phone conversations with us multiple times to make sure that she understood the style of music we wanted for cocktail hour, dinner and reception. And she hit the nail right on the head. She did not play one song that I didn't like, and I can't think of any songs that I would rather have had played. Toast and Jam is a phenomenal group to work with. Bravo, ladies!

Seriously, we heard from so many people who said they had never had so much fun at a wedding before, because they were dancing to the ridiculously great music the whole night. And besides the music, it was the pacing and the tone you helped us set that really added up to a fantastic night. You totally understood the type of music we were hoping for, and clearly knew exactly how to keep the party going! Not to mention the way you handled all of our last minute schedule changes, indecision, and general lack of organization :). I felt like we were in such good hands for the evening that I never really worried about it at all - which I think is probably a good way to sum up why I would recommend you and the whole Toast & Jam team to anyone and everyone.

We planned our wedding from Los Angeles, so we asked a wedding planning friend in Chicago for advice on who should DJ.

We, Kurt and Bekki Lewis, had the best wedding ever. And what put our reception over the edge and into the realm of pure awesomeness was employing Toast & Jam as our Official Reception Music Provider.

We met with the fabulous Dena before the big event to discuss our likes and dislikes, what we wanted to hear and what wasn't allowed over the speakers and what we got was an evening of great tunes complete with a hopping dance floor. Many of our friends and family commented to us that they not only enjoyed her music selection but loved that she was having just as much fun from behind the booth as we were having on the floor.

In closing, if you hire some other DJ company your boring reception is your own damn fault.

The floor was bouncing and the speakers were shaking! T&J did an amazing job deejaying our wedding, seamlessly blending the traditional cultural music with old soul and dance tracks. Dena was fun, professional, and thorough, making sure everything was perfect.

I knew, as a photographer that Toast & Jam was the DJ I was looking for, I've loved working with them in the past, and appreciated their great tunes, style, and the way they really get the party dancing and the people having fun.

When planning our wedding from out of town, we knew exactly which company we wanted to use. We called Toast & Jam and got in touch with Dena.

From song number one, to the last, all our guests were on the dance floor. Everyone from my five year old cousin, to my eighty year old grandmother. Everyone was commenting on how great Toast & Jam was. Music was such an important part of our wedding, and we couldn't have asked for a better DJ and company to help us with our day.

When planning our wedding, it was important to us to use LGBT friendly vendors that didn’t just tolerate us for the money, but were enthusiastic about participating in our “big day.” Toast & Jam was the absolute best choice. Our pre-reception meetings were efficient and detailed. Our diverse likes were honored, and as promised, we didn’t hear a single “stale” song. People danced….and danced…and danced. From ages 3 – 83, our family and our friends danced, and so did we. Pictures from the end of the night say it all – jackets off, shoes off, sweaty faces, everyone on the dance floor. Guests repeatedly tell us how much FUN they had, and we know Kate and Rachel played a huge part in its success.

You rocked our reception. Music is an important part of my environment all the time but for my wedding day it had to really be right for everyone, not just me. It was such a good time and you were 'right on' with the music.

Amazing!!! We had so many compliments about the music. Everyone danced and danced and danced...it was perfect. It was also wonderful that you were so easy to be around, professional, fun. Toast & Jam really helped to make our wedding the best night of our lives. It exceeded every expectation and hope that we ever could have had!

Toast & Jam are awesome! We worked with Dustin, he was super-nice, fun and so easy to work with. He got in all our favorite songs and managed to take some requests. Toast and Jam was fabulous! We enjoyed working with them and really appreciated their willingness to mix in traditional Jewish music and modern Israeli songs along with a healthy dose of the indie, pop, disco and funk that we love. The result was eminently danceable and radically non-corny, the perfect compliment to our love fest. During our reception, guest after guest approached me about our “exceptional dj…and she's a chick”, as my one music-loving cousin put it! However, I think that the real test of a great DJ isn’t just the “dancability” of the songs played from 9pm – 12am (while crucial, indeed, it’s not everything), but rather the “listenability” of the music played from 6pm – 9pm (during cocktails and dinner). I mean, really, a little Frank Sinatra goes a long way if you ask me. Our DJ passed with FLYING COLORS! In fact, the music played for those three hours was arguably the best chilled-out, laid-back playlist I’ve ever heard, like ever!

THANK YOU for helping us throw such a great party! I loved every minute of it! The ceremony music was beautifully done, and the reception was a complete and total blast. Everyone keeps sending me notes and e-mails about how great the music was, asking which DJ company I used, etc. We could not have been more pleased! And we knew it from the moment we met you… it was love! I will be shouting your name from the rooftops. And if ever I have a large party again, I’m comin’ straight atcha.

Everyone keeps telling us how awesome you are (and I'm like yeah, I know). My favorite comment was that one of my friends kept waiting for you to play something mediocre so she could go to the bathroom, but you never did. I think she went eventually, but I'm not sure...

Everyone (including us) has been raving about “the best music ever at a wedding.” I mean, who knew “Watch My Feet” would bridge the generation gap and get everyone going?!? You were the best! Everyone had a blast, I think the music and the cocktails were the biggest hit! Nothing but wonderful things to say... Oh! My mom told me that someone came up to her (her family member) and said can we request the "electric slide"? My mom said no, it is not that type of wedding! ha! I made sure she knew that none of those songs could be requested.

You did a great job at reading the crowd and playing music that everyone could dance to. Everyone was dancing up until the end of the night! We didn't want to leave at the end of the night because it was so fun!

You were so very much in tune with our needs throughout the night and you met each and every one brilliantly. Your song choices were right on with everything we had talked about --- I caught myself on several occasions merrily singing along with your cocktail hour/dinner music! I heard so many compliments on your DJing skills and public speaking presence. And I really appreciate you doing the sound check for the ceremony --- everything for that portion of the day was sound-wise perfect as well.

The music was exactly what we wanted from start to finish, Kate and Rachel followed our requests perfectly, and they did a great job with improvising their own music and reading the room. We even had crashers from another reception join us on the dance floor, who told us "I wish they had these DJs next door." Even the manager of the reception hall commented on our music being so much better than the usual, and he deals with hundreds of receptions each year. I am SO GLAD that we hired Toast & Jam, and having nothing but praise for the impeccable service and music throughout our entire planning process and reception.
